Floss Gloss - Organic Beeswax Thread Conditioner

Hand crafted thread conditioner made with organic beeswax and coconut wax and lightly scented with blended essential oils. Also available in unscented. 

Beeswax has been used to condition and strengthen thread for thousands of years. For embroidery thread, it helps prevent knotting and protects the fiber from brittleness and fraying over time. Which makes it ideal when embroidering on items like shoes, garments, dish towels- really anything that will be worn or washed.  It can even help with stubborn needle threading.

To apply the beeswax, run your embroidery floss across the surface of the wax while applying slight pressure to the thread. Do this once or twice then run your hand down the length of the thread to The heat from your hand helps work the wax into the fibers.

Be careful not to over condition your thread or it will be stiff and lose its fluff or texture.
